 About Bolonia

Altitude: 1250 m

Distance from Beirut:  25 km (via Metn Autoroute)

Time from Beirut: 20 minutes at all times (via Metn Autoroute)

The town derived its name from the French forest of "Bois de Boulogne" due to the thick pine forest that covers most of its area.

As Bolonia grew during the past century, its appeal attracted local and foreign tourists alike and still does to this day.  It's healthy climate is especially beneficent for asthmatic patients.

Bolonia (also known as Bois de Boulogne) is located in North Metn, on top of the closest pine forest to Beirut. Thanks to the new Metn Autotoute that links Beirut to Baabat, Bolonia has become easily accessible from the City, with open traffic at all times of the day.

It is only 5 km away from the ski slopes of Zaarour and lies in the middle of Lebanon's renown summer resorts of Bikfaya, Broumana, Baabdat.
